Ecuador president Rafael Correa Delgado has lauded the new attitude of United States President Barack Obama. Speaking during a press conference at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Port-of-Spain, Delgado said he believes the new attitude will benefit the interaction with countries.
“The new attitude of President Obama is hopeful for future summits. He has created a new approach and leaders are getting to meet each other,” the Ecuador president said. This attitude, Delgado said, shows hope for future summits. Expressing optimism that Cuba would be part of the next Summit of Americas, Delgado said, “While there are many things missing from the declaration, the summit allows leaders to dialogue and this benefits the region.”
