Published: 4 Sep 2009

The Naparima Girls’ High School has won 30 of the 266 national scholarships to be awarded by the Government.

Among the 30, eight of the girls have received open scholarships. The successful students will be celebrated at the school’s assembly this morning. The scholarships were given based on the performance of the 2008 Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination (Cape) and GCE Advanced Level examinations.

They will be awarded for further studies in business, environmental studies, languages, mathematics, modern studies, humanities, natural sciences, technological studies, visual and performing arts and general studies. Naps Girls’ student Jenissa Nandoo won one of the two President’s Medals last year. This year two more President’s medals will be awarded to the most successful students.
