Chogm Village, located at Port-of-Spain International Waterfront, is to be opened by Prime Minister Patrick Manning on Sunday.

According the Chogm Web site, the village is a retail sales space which will be open to nationals and visiting delegates for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (Chogm) taking place in T&T from November 27 to 29.

Chogm Village will house about 22 booths with tourism personnel, retailers and suppliers of local craft, coffee and cocoa products, Chogm merchandise, and local food concessionaires. It will accomodate stage entertainment and dining areas as well. It is to be designed by mas producer Brian MacFarlane. The Web site said the event would kick off Chogm 2009 and would be open everyday of the week until Christmas Eve, December 24 from 3 pm to 9pm. Entrance is free.
