Rel­a­tives of miss­ing sales­man Rishi Ram­per­sad con­tin­ued search­ing through the aban­doned cane­field tracks off the M-2 Ring Road on Fri­day, in a des­per­ate at­tempt to find him. Wear­ing rub­bers boots and hold­ing cut­lass­es, the team jumped ravines and combed the hill­sides off the Ring Road, hop­ing that they could find some clue to Ram­per­sad's where­abouts. Ra­goonath said the search was ran­dom as it was com­mon knowl­edge that killers of­ten dumped their vic­tims' corpses in the aban­doned cane­fields. "At this point, we do not know what to think. We are search­ing for any clue that he is alive. We are tired of wait­ing and hop­ing. We want an­swers. We want to know who has our Rishi," Mal­tee sobbed.

She said that po­lice have not been as­sist­ing in the search. "When we went to the Fyz­abad po­lice sta­tion to make a re­port, they told us to con­tact San Fer­nan­do po­lice as it was out of their ju­ris­dic­tion." She said that no­body has called to make any ran­som de­mand, so they were un­cer­tain whether Ram­per­sad was kid­napped. Ram­per­sad of Del­hi Road, Fyz­abad, went miss­ing af­ter lim­ing at the Prive night­club in La Ro­maine. Rel­a­tives said he stayed for half an hour at a pri­vate par­ty host­ed at the club, be­fore leav­ing. His car was found at a house in Cou­va on Mon­day.
