?Officers attached to the Riot Squad and the Task Force were called in yesterday to maintain law and order at the docks of the prisoners' cell, at the San Fernando Magistrates' Court. Court matters were delayed for more than three hours while more than two dozen officers were seen standing guard in and around the holding bay. One prisoner, Gregory Charles sustained a cut over his eye. Two officers, PC Ali and PC Pedro, were also injured in the melee. Second Court Magistrate, Alexander Prince appeared in his court and told people who had matters in the court: "Something had happened downstairs. The police are treating with certain things downstairs. So the court will resume at 11.30, we are just waiting for the police to get things under control." (IF)
