?The Na­tion­al Union of Gov­ern­ment and Fed­er­at­ed Work­ers (NUGFW) is em­bark­ing on a cam­paign, led by its pres­i­dent gen­er­al James Lam­bert, to raise funds in aid of those af­fect­ed by Tues­day's earth­quake in Haiti.ded. In a news re­lease yes­ter­day Lam­bert said: "It is in times such as these we re­al­ly stop to con­sid­er the true val­ue of hu­man life and we ap­pre­ci­ate the bless­ing that God has be­stowed up­on us.

"Our broth­ers and sis­ters in Haiti need our help at this time and the NUGFW is an­swer­ing the call." The union is call­ing on mem­bers and in­ter­est­ed per­sons to make any con­tri­bu­tion to the NUGFW "Help Haiti Fund" at the union's head of­fice, cor­ner of Fran­cis and Smart Streets, St Au­gus­tine. The dead­line for all con­tri­bu­tions is Jan­u­ary 31, the re­lease added.
