Blue Di­a­monds will start the 2010 Panora­ma Small and Medi­um Con­ven­tion­al Band pre­lim­i­nar­ies (North­ern Re­gion) to­mor­row, at the Lord Kitch­en­er Stand, South Quay, Port-of-Spain. The steel­band from George Street, South-East Port-of-Spain, is the first of 16 bands that will be judged in the small band cat­e­go­ry, and its tune of choice is Slinger Fran­cis­co's (Mighty Spar­row) Ly­ing Ex­cus­es.

Five medi­um bands will face the judges, in­clud­ing the 2007 and 2008 win­ner, Courts Sound Spe­cial­ists of Laven­tille, which will per­form as its tune of choice, De­stra's Sur­ren­der, arranged by Ken "Pro­fes­sor" Philmore. Com­pe­ti­tion starts at 1 pm. Ad­mis­sion is $50, payable at the gate.
