Director of the Adventist Development and Relief Agency Theodore Jaria is appealing to members of the public to continue to contribute food and other items to Haiti's earthquake victims. Jaria was speaking during a news conference at the Caribbean Union Conference at Rookery Nook, Maraval, yesterday. This comes in wake of the powerful earthquake that rocked Haiti on January 12. Jaria said he was part of a team that visited Haiti three days after the earthquake, and stayed with relief efforts until January 22. "We went in to the sights and sounds of pain and trauma," he said. He said the team worked closely with a Canadian unit of medical doctors that supplied water-purification tablets and other goods.
