?An autopsy on 32-year-old Guyanese national Anthony Jagroop yesterday revealed he died of multiple injuries. .
Jagroop, a labourer, was killed last Thursday while shovelling dirt near the reservoir on Saddle Road, Maraval. He was staying in Charlieville. He had been working around midday when he was allegedly struck by a green Discovery Range Rover, police said.
Police said the driver of the van Mark Biltza, a German national residing at North Coast Road was later discharged from hospital. Jagroop died of massive stomach injuries, a broken ribcage and a rib punctured his spleen. Up to late yesterday evening, police were seeking to contact the German Embassy for further information. Cpl J Groden, of the Maraval Police Station, is continuing investigations.
