Dr Hollis Liverpool, also known as Chalkdust, who placed sixth, said "Kurt Allen is a good boy and he had a good song." "Calypso is an art to be judged. I always accept the judges' decision. I did not get to see the performance, though." For 2011, he vowed "among the 14 contestants, you will be sure that once Liverpool is alive, I'll be there next year."

In a previous interview (February 11), Liverpool said he was looking closely at calypsonians Winston Scarborough (De Fosto), Brian London, Kurt Allen and newcomer Nicole Greaves. Liverpool had declared it was a contest between songwriters and those who bought their songs. He had claimed 90 per cent of the finalists bought their songs. Allen triumphed with his composition Too Bright.
