Udecott's board will push to complete several projects as priority, including the Government campus in Port-of-Spain and the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Udecott vice chairman Dr Krishna Bahadoorsingh said yesterday.
Bahadoorsingh spoke following yesterday's Udecott board meeting with new chairman Jearlean John. John said the meeting was held to brief her on information regarding projects she had sought. She said a full board meeting would be held next week. Bahadoorsingh said the board received a full report from management on the police's seizure of various items from Udecott on Wednesday.
Bahadoorsingh added: "It was noted in the report that the police who came to Udecott to seek documents conducted themselves in a very gentlemanly manner, very courteously. "It was also noted that they received everything they asked for," he added. Bahadoorsingh said Udecott's focus was completing certain priority projects which were more or less finished or which – like the Government campus – only required outfitting. Bahadoorsingh said John was an excellent chairman, "Highly competent, very knowledgeable, no nonsense and to the point and very friendly, a pleasure to work with. "It's a new era with this new chairman. I'm very impressed," Bahadoorsingh added.
