Vehicular traffic along the north-bound lane of the Sir Solomon Hochoy Highway, near the Ato Boldon Stadium, Couva, has been reduced to one lane until tomorrow at 10 am. A release from the Ministry of Works and Transport yesterday said motorists could use an alternate route since emergency repairs were being done to one of its culverts.
Motorists, the release advised, could exit at Couva Interchange along Couva Main Road to the Southern Main Road and then re-enter the Solomon Hochoy Highway at Freeport or Chase Village. Motorists have been advised to proceed with caution and observe all directional signs and barriers, comply with instructions from police officers on the site in order to facilitate the flow of traffic in an orderly manner. The ministry also expressed its regrets over any inconvenience experienced by the public.
