Foreign Affairs Minister Dr Surujrattan Rambachan has met with a high-level delegation from the United States. The delegation included Assistant Secretary of State for the Western Hemisphere affairs of the US Dr Arturo Valenzuela and US Ambassador to T&T Beatrice Wilkinson-Welters.
The meeting was held last Thursday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Port-of-Spain. A release from the ministry said Rambachan used the opportunity to discuss several matters of mutual interest, pertaining to foreign policy and problems faced by T&T students at the St George's University Grenada.
The ministry said Rambachan exchanged views with Valenzuela on security issues, including the Caribbean Basin Security Initiative (CBSI) and the importance of collaborating to address the issues of organised and transnational crime.
