ANSA McAL quenches St Lucia's thirst

The ANSA McAL Group of Com­pa­nies and the ANSA McAL Foun­da­tion, in part­ner­ship with the Cus­toms & Ex­cise Di­vi­sion, are do­nat­ing 700 cas­es of wa­ter to hur­ri­cane-rav­aged St Lu­cia.

St Lu­cia was dev­as­tat­ed by Hur­ri­cane Tomas three weeks ago and wa­ter has since been a scare com­mod­i­ty on the is­land. The 700 cas­es of wa­ter will fill a 20-foot con­tain­er which will be trans­port­ed to St Lu­cia on the ves­sel, Bernuth Ca­lyp­so, on Mon­day and will ar­rive in St Lu­cia the fol­low­ing day.

The ship­ment is be­ing sent di­rect­ly to Her­man St He­len, Comp­trol­ler of Cus­toms, Cas­tries. "The ANSA McAL Group of Com­pa­nies and the ANSA McAL Foun­da­tion will con­tin­ue to work with gov­ern­ments and stake­hold­ers in as­sist­ing our Caribbean neigh­bours in times of need," a re­lease from the com­pa­ny's com­mu­ni­ca­tions de­part­ment said.
