"See good, be good, do good and good will fol­low you." This is the mantra that Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar has asked thou­sands of chil­dren who con­verged at Skin­ner Park yes­ter­day to re­peat dai­ly. The PM was speak­ing to thou­sands of chil­dren when her Christ­mas gift-giv­ing car­a­van rolled in­to San Fer­nan­do.She said she was hap­py to have brought Christ­mas joy to them.

Yes­ter­day's event, ac­cord­ing to the Prime Min­is­ter's com­mu­ni­ca­tions per­son­nel, at­tract­ed the biggest crowd since Per­sad-Bisses­sar launched the Christ­mas Cam­paign ear­li­er this month. A to­tal of 120 Pub­lic Trans­porta­tion Ser­vice Cor­po­ra­tion bus­es were used to trans­port chil­dren and their par­ents from 11 con­stituen­cies in south Trinidad in­clud­ing Oropouche, Point Fortin, Fyz­abad and Moru­ga to Skin­ner Park.

Per­sad-Bisses­sar, flanked by MPs, San Fer­nan­do May­or Mar­lene Coudray and Cab­i­net mem­bers, belt­ed out the tune We wish you a Mer­ry Christ­mas much to the de­light of the chil­dren.

The Prime Min­is­ter will be at the Ato Boldon Sta­di­um, Cou­va, this af­ter­noon where she will dis­trib­ute toys to needy chil­dren in Cen­tral. (RR)
