The HDC says it has evicted 18 tenants around the country, as of May 3rd, for failure to pay arrears.
Evictions will continue in areas previously identified and in new locations, soon.
But since the resumption of the exercise the HDC says errant tenants are now coming to the Corporation to settle outstanding balances, establish payment plans and communicate challenges they may have to pay monthly instalments.
The HDC also says in some cases, those evicted have made payments and agreed to settle their arrears as well.
"The HDC is hopeful these tenants honour their commitments to the Corporation," the HDC said in a release.
Evictions have been taking place at Chaconia Crescent Housing Development, Diego Martin; Cypress Hills Housing Development, Union Hall, San Fernando; Hilltop Villas Housing Development, Malick; Real Spring Housing Development, Valsayn and Vieux Fort, St James.
