Min­is­ter in the Min­istry of the At­tor­ney Gen­er­al and Le­gal Af­fairs, Fitzger­ald Hinds has been ap­point­ed to act as Min­is­ter of Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty and Com­mu­ni­ca­tions dur­ing Min­is­ter Stu­art Young’s ab­sence from Trinidad and To­ba­go.

Young left the coun­try on Sun­day for the Nether­lands, Lon­don and Hous­ton, Texas, as part of a del­e­ga­tion led by Prime Min­is­ter Dr Kei­th Row­ley to meet with of­fi­cials of en­er­gy com­pa­nies op­er­at­ing in Trinidad and To­ba­go.

The del­e­ga­tion will at­tend meet­ings host­ed by the Roy­al Dutch Shell Oil Com­pa­ny and meet­ings with BP and oth­er en­er­gy com­pa­nies.
