A woman found her husband dead in their unfinished house in Princes Town last evening after he failed to pick up their son from school. Police believe Ronnie Hosein was murdered following a dispute.
Hosein, 45, was an electrician and instrument technician. His wife told police that around 7:10 am on Monday, she left him at their home and went to work. She last spoke with him on his cellphone around 9 am. However, she said that around 4:20 pm, her son's teacher called her because her husband had not picked him up from school. She tried calling him and went to her sister-in-law's home in search of him.
Around 5:15 pm, the woman and her sister-in-law went to Baboolal Trace, Garth Road, where she and her husband have a two-storey house under construction. She saw her husband's Honda Civic parked on the roadway with a bunch of keys on the front seat. Upon entering the house, they found him lying on the floor of a bathroom on the ground floor in a pool of blood.
The body was removed to the mortuary pending an autopsy at the Forensic Science Centre in Port-of-Spain. Officers from the Homicide Region 3 are investigating.
