In­nis Fran­cis

The Sev­en Stars Con­nec­tion, a com­mu­ni­ty group or­gan­ised by for­mer Miss Ma­ture Pageant ti­tle hold­er, Lystra Nurse, will host Miss Yule­tide Princess. Nurse said the com­pe­ti­tion is geared to­wards ed­u­ca­tion and fun, while the girls ex­press them­selves in a friend­ly en­vi­ron­ment. Six lass­es will take part in the third an­nu­al event at the Vista­bel­la Re­gion­al Com­plex on De­cem­ber 5, where they will be judged on in­tro­duc­tion, tal­ent, Q&A, and evening gown seg­ments.

They will al­so rep­re­sent a re­gion­al is­land, and de­pict how Christ­mas is cel­e­brat­ed there. Nurse be­lieves that this is one way in which the pri­ma­ry school pupils will learn about the neigh­bour­ing is­lands.

Those vy­ing for the cov­et­ed ti­tle are Shiv­onne Nel­son–Miss Grena­da; Rhenelle Webb –Miss Do­mini­ca; Mer­lin­da Ramdeo–Miss Ja­maica, Nao­mi Scott–Miss St Kitts; Safiya Seon–Miss Bar­ba­dos; and Man­disa Matthews–Miss Trinidad and To­ba­go.
