A father and son were shot by motorcyclists in Maraval on Thursday afternoon.
The son, Akelon Smith, 25, died on the scene and his father, is currently warded in hospital.
Police said the incident occurred sometime before 3 pm at the corner of Brevies Road and Long Circular Road in Maraval.
The gunmen who ambushed them riding a motorcycle managed to escape.
Investigations are continuing.
