A 26-year-old man was shot outside his home in St Mary's Village, South Oropouche on Monday night.
Aaron Lallan was shot in his neck and back and died at the scene.
Initial reports state that around 9:25 pm his relative was bathing when she heard gunshots.
She alerted other relatives and on checking they saw Lallan lying on the ground near his car.
The father of one had already died.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region 3 are investigating.
