One man was arrested, and a quantity of ammunition and cocaine were seized by officers of the South Western Division Task Force (SWDTF) yesterday.
According to a police report, around 5pm yesterday, Sgt Khan, Cpl Seecharan, PC Johnitty and a party of officers from the SWDTF executed a search warrant at a residence located at Narine Trace, South Oropouche.
During the search, the officers discovered 11 rounds of 5.56 ammunition, 32 rounds of nine-millimetre ammunition, along with 120 grammes of cocaine.

The officers took possession of the illegal items, and a 58-year-old labourer was arrested for the offences of Possession of Ammunition and Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking.
Meanwhile, around 7pm yesterday, Ag/Cpl Ramroop and PC Bramble of the Western Division received information and proceeded to Morne Coco Road, Maraval.
The officers searched a bushy area a few meters off the roadway, where they found a bag containing 20 rounds of 5.56 ammunition and a quantity of cocaine.
The items were seized and the cocaine when weighed amounted to approximately one kilogramme.
Investigations are continuing.
