A Cedros man was crushed to death by a tractor which capsized in Cedros on Saturday.
Police said Andy Toolsie, 33, of the Granville Old Road succumbed to severe head injuries while being treated at the Area Hospital, Point Fortin.
Cedros police said they responded to information about a suspected accidental death.
Around 4.45 pm, Sgt Putkoo and others officers went to Carlisle Trace, off Bowen Trace and saw a red tractor at the bottom of an incline on a parcel of land that was located 500 ft away from the roadway.
Police found blood on the rear right wheel but no one seen in the area. They went to the Area Hospital, Point Fortin where they met medical personnel told them that around 1.55 pm, Toolsie was brought to the Accident and Emergency Department by another man.
The man told doctors that Toolsie was driving the tractor onto an incline when it overturned. Toolsie being thrown off the tractor, which then rolled over his head. He suffered a severe head injury. He died five minutes after being brought to the hospital.
