A man has drowned while on an outing to the La Vega estate in Gran Couva.
According to reports, the man who is said to be a radio announcer at Sweet 100 FM Radio, was attempting to swim across a pond at the La Vega estate and encountered problems in the middle.
Those around the pond say he was submerged for several minutes before his body was found motionless.
Several persons tried to perform CPR on him before he was taken to Couva hospital where he was announced dead on arrival.
