A busi­ness­woman was found dead on Sat­ur­day morn­ing in Matu­ra. Shar­maine Shaffie, a pro­pri­etor of a bar on East­ern Main Road in Matu­ra was found dead around 10:45 am.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands when her sis­ter did not see her, she went knock­ing on the bed­room door and got no re­sponse. She opened the door where she found Shar­maine Shaffie bound and ly­ing on the bed.

Shaffie’s sis­ter then con­tact­ed Matu­ra po­lice.
