Minister of Education Nyan Gadsby-Dolly and Minister in the Ministry of Education Lisa Morris-Julian, visited three (3) Government Special Schools today to hear from administrators their successes, challenges and suggestions for improvement and plans in place for the term ahead.
Accompanied by officials from the Ministry, the Ministers visited the Cascade School for the Deaf, the Wharton-Patrick School and the Pointe-a-Pierre Government Special School.
The visits allowed the Ministers to view first-hand the facilities where the education of children with special needs are conducted, and to hear from the administrators.
The Ministry of Education stated that they will continue to monitor schools as they enter the New Academic Year in an effort to ensure that no child is left behind, or without equitable, accessible and quality education.
