Ministry reports fewest new COVID cases in three months

The Min­istry of Health has re­port­ed the low­est num­ber of new in­fec­tions in three months, with 57 new cas­es yes­ter­day.

Four more peo­ple have died of the virus.

The last time T&T had a low­er fig­ure of in­fec­tions was on April 19, 2021 when the fig­ure was 24.

The deaths in­clud­ed two el­der­ly fe­males, one mid­dle-aged man and one mid­dle-aged woman all with co­mor­bidi­ties.

To­tal deaths now stand at 941 and ac­tive COVID cas­es amount to 5,919 of which 5,429 are in self-iso­la­tion at home.

The num­ber of peo­ple who re­ceived first-dose vac­ci­na­tions was 225,546 as of yes­ter­day and 140,568 have re­ceived two vac­ci­na­tion dos­es.
