The TTPS Mounted Branch now has a presence in Chaguanas, providing an added layer of security to the town centre.
Chaguanas Mayor Faaiq Mohammed praised the initiative yesterday, saying, “Your patrols in downtown Chaguanas have been a welcome initiative, bringing added safety and security to our bustling town centre.”
The mayor also lauded the T&T Police Service for its approach to community policing.
“I commend the TTPS for this meaningful collaboration, which strengthens the bond between law enforcement and the people of Chaguanas. Initiatives like this remind us of the importance of working together to ensure our borough remains a safe and thriving place for all.”
Mounted Branch police officers on horses will be patrolling along the Main Road in Chaguanas to keep a watchful eye as people shop for the Christmas holidays.
The mayor encouraged similar efforts in the future, adding, “We look forward to seeing more such engagements that continue to foster trust, security, and partnership in our community.” — Rhondor Dowlat
