The TTPS Mount­ed Branch now has a pres­ence in Ch­agua­nas, pro­vid­ing an added lay­er of se­cu­ri­ty to the town cen­tre. 

Ch­agua­nas May­or Faaiq Mo­hammed praised the ini­tia­tive yes­ter­day, say­ing, “Your pa­trols in down­town Ch­agua­nas have been a wel­come ini­tia­tive, bring­ing added safe­ty and se­cu­ri­ty to our bustling town cen­tre.”

The may­or al­so laud­ed the T&T Po­lice Ser­vice for its ap­proach to com­mu­ni­ty polic­ing.

“I com­mend the TTPS for this mean­ing­ful col­lab­o­ra­tion, which strength­ens the bond be­tween law en­force­ment and the peo­ple of Ch­agua­nas. Ini­tia­tives like this re­mind us of the im­por­tance of work­ing to­geth­er to en­sure our bor­ough re­mains a safe and thriv­ing place for all.”

Mount­ed Branch po­lice of­fi­cers on hors­es will be pa­trolling along the Main Road in Ch­agua­nas to keep a watch­ful eye as peo­ple shop for the Christ­mas hol­i­days.

The may­or en­cour­aged sim­i­lar ef­forts in the fu­ture, adding, “We look for­ward to see­ing more such en­gage­ments that con­tin­ue to fos­ter trust, se­cu­ri­ty, and part­ner­ship in our com­mu­ni­ty.” — Rhon­dor Dowlat
