MOVIETOWNE will host a Red-Carpet Premiere event for the opening of the Black Panther: Wakenda Forever movie tomorrow (Wednesday) night at their Invaders Bay branch in Woodbrook.
Action gets going at 6.30 p.m. with live entertainment from African dancers and drummers, and there will also be persons imitating characters from the movie in full costumes.
MovieTowne’s general manager Amrita Baboolal stated:
“This is the biggest movie event of the year and there is only one place to be to feel like you’re at a real Hollywood premiere. We went all out and spared no expense, from giant photo booth sets to live entertainment, to celebrate this iconic movie.”
Patrons can book their tickets online or at the box office and are urged to dress in all-white or in their black panther costumes.
The movie will debut at 7.15 p.m., and it will also be shown on four other screens at 7.45 p.m., 8.15 p.m., 8.30 p.m. and 9 p.m. at Invaders Bay.
The original Black Panther movie was released in 2018 and went on to become the sixth highest-grossing film in history in the United States (over US $700 million) and the 14th highest worldwide (over US $1.3 billion).
The cast included Tobagonian Winston Duke, who played M’Baku.
Black Panther: Wakenda Forever will also debut tomorrow night at the other MovieTowne branches in the country—C3 Centre, San Fernando, and Gulf View Mall Lowlands, Tobago. —(MOVIETOWNE)
