Firepower Fireworks has taken a stand this year and will not be selling loud firecrackers in a bid to protect and safeguard pets, babies, the elderly and the ill.
Speaking with Guardian Media at the warehouse at Warner Village in Charlieville an employee said the decision was made at the end of 2018.
The establishment is bracing for an influx of sales on December 31 as the New Year holiday approaches.
The employee said customers will have the opportunity of various specials including similar to its Boxing Day sale on some items which include buy one, get one free.
The fireworks come in different categories such as multi-shot boxes, ground spinners, aerial spinners, roman candles, fountains, novelty items like crackles and flash and ranges from $1 to $7,500.
The employee also emphasised the company’s position when it comes to safety.
“All our products have safety labels/warning. When customers come to pay we also advise them on special precautionary measures. We have banners and precautions printed on the bags.”
