One new COVID death recorded in Tobago, 4 new positive cases

There has been one new death from COVID-19 in To­ba­go over the past 24 hours, with the vic­tim be­ing an un­vac­ci­nat­ed per­son.  The death toll on the is­land now stands at 248.

Ac­cord­ing to the lat­est up­date from Di­vi­sion of Health, Well­ness and So­cial Pro­tec­tion, in the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA), dat­ed, the last death from COVID-19 record­ed in To­ba­go was on Sat­ur­day March 12th.  That per­son al­so was un­vac­ci­nat­ed.

The Di­vi­sion al­so is re­port­ing in its up­dat­ed for Thurs­day 17th March 2022 that four (4) more peo­ple have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19 in To­ba­go.  These new in­fec­tions bring the num­ber of cur­rent ac­tive in­fec­tions on the is­land to 432.

Cur­rent­ly, 17 peo­ple are hos­pi­talised with COVID-19, 13 of whom have not been vac­ci­nat­ed at all against the dis­ease, while four (4) peo­ple have been ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed.

The Di­vi­sion’s up­date al­so notes that at present, the to­tal num­ber of peo­ple in To­ba­go who have re­cov­ered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 6,997.
