One new death from COVID, 19 new positive cases

To­ba­go has record­ed a new death from COVID-19 over the last 24 hours. An un­vac­ci­nat­ed per­son is the lat­est vic­tim of the dis­ease, and their death brings the is­land’s death toll to 261 lives lost.

Pri­or to Thurs­day April 7th, the most re­cent death on the is­land was record­ed on Sun­day 3rd April 2022—one (1) un­vac­ci­nat­ed per­son was record­ed as the de­ceased on that date.

Al­so in the lat­est up­date from Di­vi­sion of Health, Well­ness and So­cial Pro­tec­tion, in the To­ba­go House of As­sem­bly (THA), dat­ed Thurs­day 7th April 2022, some 19 peo­ple in To­ba­go have test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19 over the past 24 hours.  The num­ber of cur­rent ac­tive in­fec­tions on the is­land now stands at 340.

The Health Di­vi­sion al­so is re­port­ing that 12 peo­ple cur­rent­ly are hos­pi­talised with COVID-19.  Eleven (11) of these pa­tients have not been vac­ci­nat­ed at all against the dis­ease, while on­ly one (1) pa­tient has been ful­ly vac­ci­nat­ed.

The To­ba­go COVID-19 up­date for 7th April 2022 al­so notes that at present, the to­tal num­ber of peo­ple in To­ba­go who have re­cov­ered from COVID-19 since March 2020, now stands at 7,657.
