Starting today, Caribbean Airlines (CAL) cabin crew and staff are sporting new uniforms designed by their peers and produced by local design house Janouras Custom Design Ltd. Gone are the company’s navy and aquamarine uniforms… the contemporary ready to wear collection of jackets, skirts, shirts, waistcoats, and pants feature various shades of purple, fuchsia, white, pink, and grey.
This is the final part of a brand refresh initiative that began in 2019 and saw the local carrier’s fleet receive a new livery, logo, and branding. The uniforms were unveiled to the public at a Customer Appreciation Event, which took place last night at the Hyatt Regency, Trinidad.
While the uniform reveal was certainly the highlight of the night’s event, Caribbean Airlines CEO Garvin Medera shared some of the airline’s plans for 2024. Pending regulatory approval, CAL plans to fly to increase its Caribbean presence by operating flights to Puerto Rico, the British Virgin Islands, Martinique, and Guadeloupe. Medera also announced plans to expand Jetpak, Caribbean Airlines’ skybox courier service, to Guyana, Barbados, and Jamaica. Other announcements included a revamp later this year of the Caribbean Miles program which allows passengers to earn miles based on their ticket price and lower rates for miles redemption, and a redesign of CAL’s boarding passes.
