A Tu­na­puna woman was ab­duct­ed and res­cued with­in a few hours on Sat­ur­day.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, Ki­tan­na John was forced in­to a bur­gundy Nis­san B-14 at knife-point by a man known to her around 10 am on Sat­ur­day.

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, the man, who is said to be from Mara­cas, St Joseph, had threat­ened John in the past.

She was res­cued with­in two hours af­ter the ve­hi­cle was in­ter­cept­ed by po­lice in Care­nage.

By noon, a rel­a­tive post­ed a com­ment on Face­book thank­ing the po­lice for res­cu­ing John, whom he said was safe and with her rel­a­tives.

Guardian Me­dia un­der­stands the ve­hi­cle used in the crime was im­pound­ed at the Care­nage Po­lice Sta­tion and sev­er­al sus­pects are in po­lice cus­tody.
