UNC exec calls on Warner to answer

The national executive of the UNC has sent Chaguanas West MP Jack Warner before the party’s disciplinary committee. UNC political leader Basdeo Panday made the announcement at a news conference at Rienzi Complex, Couva, last night. Panday said this move came because Warner had failed to turn up at yesterday’s executive meeting and failed to provide answers to allegations made against him in writing. “We have examined all the documents, all the letters between the parties and have decided to refer that matter to the disciplinary committee,” he said. Last week, the national executive referred Tabaquite MP Ramesh Maharaj and Mayaro MP Winston “Gypsy” Peters to the disciplinary committee.
Panday said the disciplinary committee would then determine its own course of action. He said two dissident UNC councillors on the Chaguanas Borough Corporation, Falisha Issahak and Narsingh Rambaran, would also be asked to appear before the national executive to explain their conduct in the election of the Mayor of the Chaguanas Borough. Issahak, the councillor for Charlieville, nominated Natasha Navas for the post of alderman, while the motion was seconded by Rambaran, the councillor for Cunupia. Navas was later elected as Mayor by secret ballot, while Rambarran who was touted and even advertised to be the next deputy was beaten by the incumbent, Orlando Nagessar.

Ryan, I see you and I are on the same page now. I agree that the biggest problem facing Trinbago now is Bas and Patrick. If we can get these two out of the politics, then the fragile castles built around them will collapse and that will make way for much improvements. But at the end of the day, the people will decide and as you very well know, a country deserves the government that it gets through the people. I agree with you that education is needed but the problem is how do you change the biases in the minds of people when it is now entrenched as a part of the culture.... Take care bud

Trinidad and Tobago has created some of the most brilliant minds the world has seen, and Bass and Manning don’t compeer to them, we will be fine!
Ask any parent that sent their children to a good university if they have the confidence in their children to be our future, they do.
Evolution of human civilization will goes on with or without Manning and Bass and Jack and everyone that is in government now, and at present they are stopping change, change that is needed!
So when manning and bass die in the next 5 years then what we do, no we have to do it now or suffer.
Look at the rest of the world, how many countries have men the age of manning, jack, panday running their country.

I will vote for the man daughter just to get away from the old time politics of Manning and Panday.
She went to University in modern times, and is better equipped to understand modern problems and deal with them. It doesn’t have to be panday daughter, but she she seems to fit into the caliber of young people that we need to run this country.
Go take a walk around your village and talk to some of the people that is over 60, ask them what going on in this country, and you will think we were in the 1970s.

I know some very smart young people as well as some very smart old people. it really dont have nothing to do with age. it's more cultural. when politician use race and class to get votes, that's the problem we have in Trinidad. lots of smart people still behind Panday. I agree that we need young people to get involve in politics in T&T. new blood, new ideas, like they say 21st century ideas and politics. we need a party that's made up of Indians and Africas and Syrians and Chinese and all the other ethic groups. this new party must represent all the ethnics groups in Trinidad, only then can we move on. to much tribal politics. this one voting for Panday because he is ah Indian just like he, the next one voting for Manning because he's african just like he and so it goes on and on. stop the tribal politics, vote for someone that have a real vision for T&T a lot of ..........

Austin 'Jack' Warner will
Austin 'Jack' Warner will respond to Panday and his minions today in Couva North , where he is opening an office , in order to meet with constituents . Panday refused to declare the money in his bank account in London and by so doing broke the laws of T&T pertaining to Integrity in public life . He even spent some time in prison but the UNC executive is not sending him to the disciplinary committee but they are sending messers. Warner , Maharaj and Peters . They are even going after Falisha Issahak and Narsingh Rambaran , UNC members of the Chaguanas Borough Corporation , for supporting Natasha Navas and getting rid of former mayor , Surujrattan Rambachan who is a Panday minion . Panday is the BANE of the UNC he is also a very ungrateful political anaconda because Jack and Ramesh did plenty for him and his family , yet he continues to bad-talk them . How can Panday sit in judgement with any matter dealing with the RamJackWin-ners , he should have remove himself . Jack is taking him to court for slander and Ramesh and Gypsy may do the same , too .
