Warner calls for political round table

With two COP leaders appearing on the Divali platforms of two UNC MPs within days of each other, estranged UNC deputy leader Jack Warner is calling a November 15 roundtable of all political leaders, including UNC’s Basdeo Panday, for forward momentum on unity.
“Reconciliation is long overdue, but Mr Panday is the obstacle,” Warner said from Egypt yesterday. “I’m prepared to work around, under and over him, but unity, like the waves on the shore, can’t be stopped. We’ll use all methods, including the Divali celebrations, to achieve it,” Warner added. Warner spoke after COP leader Winston Dookeran agreed to speak at Warner’s Chaguanas West Divali function tomorrow and after COP deputy leader Prakash Ramadhar appeared at UNC deputy leader Kamla Persad-Bissessar’s Divali celebrations in Siparia Thursday night. Ramadhar said he had accepted Persad-Bissessar’s invitation and appeared in a personal capacity since he had known Persad-Bissessar many years. Persad-Bissessar, who also said she invited Ramadhar as a personal friend of long standing, pointed to the message in her Divali speech.
She reiterated, “There is lot of darkness in T&T at this time, but if we light one or two deyas it won’t dispel the darkness. Nor would it, if we light thousands and they are scattered.” “So we have to light deyas together and unite them all so we can make a great light to remove the darkness,” Persad-Bissessar said, adding that her analogy was clear. Persad-Bissessar heads a UNC team to seek unity with COP. She had appeared at a COP rally in June, but unity talks have not started. Instead COP leader Winston Dookeran began speaking with Warner. Yesterday, Dookeran said he was aware Ramadhar participated in Persad-Bissessar’s function. At 3 pm, yesterday Dookeran said his secretary had received a letter from UNC. He said he had not yet read it. UNC vice chairman Vasant Bharath confirmed UNC had formally invited Dookeran to speak at UNC’s October 26 Congress. Warner, returning home today, said Persad-Bissessar was emulating his move to have Dookeran appear on his Chaguanas West platform. Warner said his immediate move, apart from approaching Persad-Bissessar and Bharath, involves calling party leaders and UNC MPs to a unity roundtable in November.
Bas lukewarm on moves
• UNC political leader Basdeo Panday said, “I’m not a political Dr Kevorkian to advise people how to commit suicide. People have a right to commit suicide in their own way politically or otherwise. One thing the PNM hasn’t removed yet is the freedom to join a party of your choice or appear on platforms of your choice. I agree with those freedoms, so people are entitled to do what they want.”
• UNC vice chairman Vasant Bharath, “The UNC initiated all the ‘reaching out’ currently occurring. But all initiatives must go to our executive. I’m not in a position to accept an invitation from another party to speak on their platform or attend a roundtable without consulting UNC first.”
'Three bo-rat can't live in
'Three bo-rat can't live in one hole'. Don't know if the 'good' Doctor Kavorkian will be called up for duty this round, or who else may be called to pull some political life-support plugs!

IS THE PRESS STIRRING THINGS
IS THE PRESS STIRRING THINGS UP -
They seem to be making quotes which contradict what is happening on the ground. There is evidence a lot of movement which is said to be cleared by some players and being portrayed as not being cleared by others. I know that this is a cash cow for the press do they have a vested interest in not seeing this work. We do know that this paper supported the COP in the last election and all their predictions were upset by the UNC. How many seats they predicted for COP was it at least 25. They seem to prefer COP and if they don’t get that then they will accept PNM.
...yep, the Politicians Gone
...yep, the Politicians Gone Wild comedy show is into its final season..it seems that there's a move afoot to get together and bury the hatchet....hopefully not in each other's back...

Panday reminds me of Jim Jones and Jonestown, Guyana in 1978: when the game is over for him (Panday), force his people to commit political suicide, political genocide and if they don't cooperate, political murder. He is already stocking up on the koolaid to lace it with political cyanide.
Manning will do everything to keep Panday out of jail because as long as he is on the outside Manning will beat them in all cardinal points of the country and beyond and crown himself Executive President For Life and make Panday Court Jester at his pleasure. They badly need each other and is chou poule with everybody else.
THE OPPOSITION CAN'T WIN
THE OPPOSITION CAN'T WIN -
When they separate it is wrong. When they get together it is wrong. Only some must get together.
1) UNC Sharma and COP Ramlogan wins case against PNM Saith.
2) UNC, RAMJACK and COP all have same position on
a) UDECOTT
b) CRIME,
c) INFLATION,
d) INTEGRITY COMISSION,
e) ATTACK ON JUDICARY
f) Removal Of THE PRESIDENT
g) And most other issues.
4) UNC Kamla and COP Prakash support each other at Divali function.
5) Ex-UNC Ministers and Kamal and Mahabir negotiate unity, but insist that Panday be at the table.
6) UNC Kamla and team attend COP convention.
7) COP Dookeran invited to attend UNC convention.
The press highlights the negatives to scuttle the peace process; they want unity of some only.
....lets face it girls and
....lets face it girls and boys, the UNC ménage à trois, Bass, Jack and Ram, flies in the face of the nature of such men with respect to cohabitation of male rats in a single hole, the limited is one only...such an arrangement will inevitably lead to them constantly trying to lick up each other....meantime the nation's Father and the Gang are unobstructed, as they up and dole out the goodies to the faithful....just imagine retiring on a pension of 47 grand a month...
THE SAME WAS SAID ABOUT
THE SAME WAS SAID ABOUT OBAMA -
When Obama suggested that he would talk to those who were perceived enemies they laughed at him. When he reached out to Hilary Clinton his fiercest rival they laughed at him. It is better to have tried and fail than to never have tried at all. It usually takes many failures before you have success. Success is also relative, you may achieve 20 percent in your first effort but 40 in your second this is a hundred percent increase. Another may make 35 percent in the first effort but 41 percent in the next effort, the increase is less though. Some may place second in election having placed first before but it was a lot better than placing third. But others may place sixth out of sixth in World Cup Qualification and not qualifying having placed forth before.

It tolls for thee.'
