?Unit­ed Na­tion­al Con­gress chair­man hope­ful Jack Warn­er is head­ing to the elec­tion polls on Sun­day with his lawyers on stand­by. Should mem­bers en­counter any prob­lems, Warn­er said, they would al­so have a hot­line in place to­geth­er with their video cam­eras. Warn­er, who is fight­ing against St Au­gus­tine MP Vas­ant Bharath, made the com­ments when he ap­peared on the In­de­pen­dent can­di­dates' plat­form at Siparia KPA Pri­ma­ry School, Fyz­abad, on Wednes­day night. The Ch­agua­nas West MP said: "I will be go­ing to the polls on Sun­day as a can­di­date not know­ing who can vote and who can­not vote."

He said the Peo­ple's Na­tion­al Move­ment had all the right to mock them be­cause they were a par­ty with­out a mem­ber­ship da­ta base. But, Warn­er said, come Sun­day they would have polling agents and cam­eras in 19 polling sta­tions to check the num­ber of per­sons vot­ing. "We have a hot­line that tells you any prob­lem you can call us. We have lawyers stand­ing by," he said. Warn­er claimed that they have put mem­bers in St Ann's and Diego Mar­tin to vote in St Paul Street, East Dry Riv­er, so "they will be too fright­ened, afraid to go there to vote." (SW)
