?In his ad­dress to the Par­lia­ment yes­ter­day on Church/State mat­ters, Prime Min­is­ter Patrick Man­ning out­lined funds that were al­lo­cat­ed to re­li­gious or­gan­i­sa­tions by the Ec­cle­si­as­ti­cal grant over a ten-year pe­ri­od:

Ro­man Catholic Church: $1,157,240

Hin­dus: $711,000

An­gli­can Church: $515,000

Mus­lims: $403,000

Pres­by­ter­ian Church: $264,400

Methodist Church: $101,000

Sev­enth-Day Ad­ven­tists: $176,000

Spir­i­tu­al Bap­tists: $132,000

Or­tho­dox Bap­tists: $169,400

Mora­vian Church: $35,000

Pen­te­costal Church: $250,800

Je­ho­vah Wit­ness­es: $14,000

Church of God: $32,000

Chris­t­ian Brethren: $8,900

Trustees of the Ethiopi­an Or­tho­dox Church: $4,880.

To­tal cost $138.1 mil­lion. Gov­ern­ment paid $118.05 mil­lion or 85.5 per cent of to­tal cost.
