Ramesh: I didn’t feel welcome

Published: 10 Mar 2010

Tabaquite MP Ramesh Lawrence Maharaj has defended his decision not to attend the UNC’s Monday night forum in Gasparillo.

Maharaj, during a telephone interview yesterday, said he was not inclined to attend the meeting given the policy of the forum. “The policy for the meeting as announced by Mr Jack Warner is that the MP will not be allowed to speak, only two people will be allowed to speak at the meeting and this was the chairman and political leader (Kamla Persad-Bissessar),” he said.

Maharaj said he was not consulted about the meeting in his constituency. “The meeting was planned without me,” he said. Maharaj said Warner made a public statement that “all persons who lost the election must go. It is clear to me Mr Warner planned this meeting in a way in which they did not want my participation.” Maharaj said he stayed away since he wanted to co-operate with Warner and Persad-Bissessar for them to have “the meeting as they wished.”

Who was it admitted and

Who was it admitted and confessed "ALL AH WE TIEF"? Remind me again. The new lot have perfected the art of tiefing making it difficult but not impossible to catch them. But crime does not pay. Sooner or later they will have to do the time.

trinitodebone..WHO OBSERVING

trinitodebone..WHO OBSERVING THAT THE UNC HINDU'S DONT RESPECT THE COMMANDMENTS. What happended to guilty until proven innocent. Has anyone proven that anything was stolen. Until that is proven all the talk of raping the treasury is all that TALK. Backward arse Trinis afraid of anything to uplift this place. God forbid we let this place turn into Guyana.........

The constitution protects

The constitution protects freedom of religion , i.e Hindus , Christians , Moslems and others . Why can't all people of different religeous faiths get along and respect each others choices . Jack Warner and Winston Peters are UNC MPs voted for by indo-trinis eventhough , they are afro-trinis . UNITE and live in PEACE .

Ramesh Maharaj is still badly affected by the massive defeat which he suffered on Jan 24 , 2010 . He is blaming Jack for not going to the meeting but Jack was not even there , it is Kamla he is running from . If he continues like this , he will not be a UNC candidate in the next General Election , Anand may replace him in Tabaquite . Jack always gave Ramesh good advice and the last time he got , Jack told him not to run for the post of political leader because he was not electable - but he ignored Jack and now he is out in the cold being comforted by Panday when they meet on the back bench of the House .

ROWLEY AND RAMESH PROTECTED

ROWLEY AND RAMESH PROTECTED THE TREASURY -

Despite my misgivings about Ramesh whatever his motivation he and Rowley have been the only MP's to stand up to corruption in their own parties. The rest are only preching put country first, but aided and abetted the rape of the treasury by their silence or defense of these acts. They now want to rebrand themselves and be rewarded for failing to protect the interest of the population who are their employers.

TURNCOATS Fairday, like

TURNCOATS

Fairday, like yourself they both became turncoats when they got fired. Before that they were collectively responsible and guilty. So what's the deal?

YES

YES -

Attack the messenger charge and counter charge. Despite my disagreement, I am not going up for office and will not control the treasury. I did say despite my misgivings about Ramesh which also applies to Rowley it does not change the facts.Do we hold the politicians up to the same standard of the man in the streets. So the man in the street steals a tin of sardines it is OK for the politicians to steal from the treasury, all ah we thief. PNM steal so we put UNC, UNC steal so we put PNM. Then we settle for the lesser of the two evils, the one who steals less. All yuh fellas too bright that is why yuh cyar run this country right.

Thou shalt not steal.

Thou shalt not steal. Remember and observe the 8th commandment.

Ramesh, as a lawyer you

Ramesh, as a lawyer you should know when it is unwise to provide the proof of your own misdemeanours. Remember: Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of public opinion. You have the right to an attorney. ...
