United National Congress' (UNC) Tobago regional co-ordinator Barrington "Skippy" Thomas has written to Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Roger Gaspard asking that he give the acting Commissioner of Police James Philbert a deadline to submit a report into the Landate matter. Landate is a private housing development project in Mason Hall, Tobago, owned by Sharon Rowley, wife of Diego Martin West MP Dr Keith Rowley. The project is being investigated by police and forensic expert Robert Lindquist.

Thomas, in a letter dated last Tuesday, said he first exposed the diversion of construction materials from the Scarborough Hospital project to the private Mason Hall project by NH International (Caribbean) Ltd, the contractors for the hospital project and the sub-contractors for Landate. Thomas, a witness in the matter, told Gaspard: "I implore you to demonstrate the same leadership you have displayed in the Abu Bakr affidavit matter and give the acting CoP a deadline to submit his report."
