The Gov­ern­ment's in­tense work­shop con­tin­ued yes­ter­day with high­ly in­ter­ac­tive ses­sions. The sem­i­nar is fo­cused on high­ly in­ter­ac­tive ses­sions on con­sen­sus build­ing, ne­go­ti­a­tions and con­flict man­age­ment. On Thurs­day, the pre­sen­ter was Dr Daniel Shapiro, an in­ter­na­tion­al­ly recog­nised ex­pert on the sub­ject.

Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar, her en­tire Cab­i­net, Mem­bers of Par­lia­ment and sen­a­tors are tak­ing part in the in­ten­sive ex­er­cise at Co­co Reef Ho­tel in To­ba­go. A re­lease from the Of­fice of the Prime Min­is­ter said Shapiro en­gaged par­tic­i­pants in full house ne­go­ti­a­tions and re­lat­ed ac­tiv­i­ties dur­ing his rig­or­ous pre­sen­ta­tion, which chal­lenged par­tic­i­pants to analyse com­plex sce­nar­ios and come up with so­lu­tions to prob­lems pre­sent­ed.

The work­shop con­tin­ued yes­ter­day af­ter­noon, with a ses­sion on Gov­er­nance and the Me­dia, led by jour­nal­ist Tony Fras­er. The work­shop be­gan on Thurs­day af­ter­noon, with a con­cen­trat­ed ses­sion fa­cil­i­tat­ed by Dr Aubrey Arm­strong, a well known re­gion­al man­age­ment con­sul­tant. The re­treat ses­sion ends to­mor­row af­ter­noon.
