The Crim­i­nal Bar As­so­ci­a­tion has re­mained mum on the "war of words" be­tween Min­is­ter of Jus­tice Her­bert Vol­ney and Chief Jus­tice Ivor Archie.

Con­tact­ed yes­ter­day, sec­re­tary of the as­so­ci­a­tion John Heath said the law body was in the process of set­ting a date for the elec­tion of a new ex­ec­u­tive.

Un­til then, Heath said, no one would be in a po­si­tion to com­ment. The as­so­ci­a­tion has re­mained rel­a­tive­ly dor­mant since the death on June 18 of pres­i­dent Desmond Al­lum, SC. The body is ex­pect­ed to meet ear­ly next month to elect a new head.
