A member of the Praedial Larceny Squad suffered a broken arm when the vehicle in which he was a passenger crashed on the Priority Bus Route (PBR) yesterday morning.

PC Diaz and other officers were on mobile patrol when they received information about a shooting on a farm. While heading east along the PBR with lights on and siren blaring, they collided with a Honda CRV near the intersection of Orange Grove Road and the PBR around 10.08 am.

The driver of the Honda CRV suffered a concussion. All the people involved in the accident were taken to the hospital where they treated and discharged.

The vehicle in the accident was one of the four that had recently been handed over to the Praedial Larceny Squad by Agriculture Minister Kazim Hosein.

Investigations into the accident are continuing.
