The Princes Town Regional Corporation (PTRC) is implementing a plan it hopes will ensure a safe and crime-free Christmas season for everyone.
An official release from the Corporation reports that Chairman Gowrie Roopnarine met this week with the Superintendent and other officers of the Princes Town Police Station, the Superintendent of the Princes Town Municipal Police, the Chief Traffic Warden and the business owners of Princes Town.
Discussed at the meeting were the possibility of an extended police presence in and around the town during business hours and for traffic to be at a minimum so that business owners and burgesses can conduct their transactions safely and in a convenient manner.
Noting that the goal is to ensure that Princes Town is a safe place to shop this Christmas, Chairman Gowrie Roopnarine pledged the Corporation’s full support to the Police Service and indicated his willingness to provide any assistance that would help them in performing their duties.
