Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tors have re­cov­ered am­mu­ni­tion be­long­ing to the T&T Reg­i­ment (TTR) on the scene where 26-year-old Rob­by Latch­mans­ingh of John Street, En­ter­prise, was fa­tal­ly shot. 

Po­lice said around 1 am at Crown Trace, En­ter­prise, he was found dead in his ve­hi­cle, a sil­ver Nis­san Ti­i­da with li­cence plate PDB 8646, which was parked near the in­ter­sec­tion of Egypt Trace Ex­ten­sion and Crown Trace.

Ac­cord­ing to sources, of­fi­cers re­spond­ing to the scene dis­cov­ered the car locked and idling, re­quir­ing them to force en­try. 

Once in­side, they found Latch­mans­ingh who died from gun­shot wounds. 

The scene re­vealed a sig­nif­i­cant amount of am­mu­ni­tion, in­clud­ing live rounds and spent shell cas­ings.

No­tably, sev­er­al rounds bore mark­ings as­so­ci­at­ed with TTR am­mu­ni­tion, rais­ing fur­ther ques­tions about the ori­gin and use of the bul­lets.

Law en­force­ment of­fi­cials are con­tin­u­ing their in­ves­ti­ga­tion, ex­am­in­ing the source of the TTR-marked am­mu­ni­tion and any po­ten­tial con­nec­tions. 

No sus­pects have been iden­ti­fied at this time, and po­lice are ap­peal­ing to any­one with in­for­ma­tion to come for­ward as they work to un­rav­el the cir­cum­stances lead­ing to Latch­mans­ingh’s death. - Rhon­dor Dowlat
