The MET of­fice has an­nounced that the River­ine flood alert was dis­con­tin­ued.

Ac­cord­ing to the Trinidad and To­ba­go Me­te­o­ro­log­i­cal Ser­vice rivers lev­els across Trinidad are well be­low their thresh­olds and no longer pose a threat to the sur­round­ing com­mu­ni­ties. Lo­cal­ized pond­ing/flood­ing still per­sists in some ar­eas; how­ev­er, a grad­ual de­crease in the wa­ter lev­els is ex­pect­ed.

Mon­i­tor weath­er con­di­tions and riv­er lev­els be­fore ven­tur­ing out. Avoid ar­eas with flood wa­ters.
