San Fer­nan­do may­or, Ju­nia Re­grel­lo, met with so­ca star Machel Mon­tano, yes­ter­day. Re­grel­lo post­ed on his Face­book page, "A meet­ing of the minds took place yes­ter­day morn­ing at the San Fer­nan­do City Cor­po­ra­tion as it was my ho­n­our to wel­come back to our city the King of So­ca, Machel Mon­tano."

Re­grel­lo hailed a "thought pro­vok­ing dis­cus­sion" as both men con­versed for a few hours about cul­ture as it re­lates to San Fer­nan­do. The post went on to state, "As a young man raised in San Fer­nan­do at­tend­ing our very own Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege where he be­gan his leg­endary so­ca ca­reer, the im­pact of the City on his cre­ative jour­ney and vice ver­sa was tru­ly a sto­ry which con­tin­ues to in­spire our sup­port for youth of the City in their cre­ative and aca­d­e­m­ic en­deav­ours."
