Students are expected to return to classes as normal on Wednesday.
Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, Faris Al-Rawi says, “With the situation of downgrade we are still in alert mode - but with no government, announcements schools are still in gear for tomorrow unless advised otherwise”.
Schools were closed on Tuesday, except for students writing exams, in anticipation of severe weather across the country.
However, the Tropical Storm Warning was discontinued tonight. An Adverse Weather Alert - yellow level - remains in effect until 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
The Division of Education, Research and Technology has already advised that schools in Tobago will remain closed and classes are expected to resume on Thursday.
