The results of the Secondary Entrance Assessment (SEA) exam written on August 20 by Standard Five pupils will be released on October 8.
This from Education Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly.
She was speaking at a press conference on Friday morning at the Ministry of Education headquarters on St Vincent Street, Port of Spain.
Gadsby-Dolly said, as a result, students carded to begin online classes in Form One will be required to do by mid-October.
However, she asked parents to still encourage their children to take advantage of learning material available on television and radio.
“Of course we know they came through a very stressful time so they have to be allowed some time for relaxation they were very courageous. It was a very difficult thing when you are two weeks from an exam that you prepare so hard for that you would have to wait, so we expect they would have some down time but they can also avail themselves of the information that will be presented for our students,” Gadsby-Dolly said.
Gadsby-Dolly said discussions were still being held in relation to the date for the 2021 SEA exam.
