Police are awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine whether a 56-year-old watchman was murdered at his Claxton Bay workplace.
Sashi Boodram’s body was discovered on Wednesday by a colleague at Central Concrete Products Ltd. Initial reports stated that a supervisor arrived at work at 6.20 am and found his body on the ground in a room with a towel wrapped around his face and neck. Boodram had lived at his workplace, located within the Plaisance Park Industrial Estate, for the last six years. He was last seen by a co-worker at 3.45 am on Tuesday.
An autopsy is expected to be done on Monday at the Forensic Science Centre in Port-of-Spain.
Officers of the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region III and St Margaret’s Police Station are investigating.
